LITTLE TEXAS - AMERICA'S FAVORITE ROCKIN' COUNTRY BAND

Play Video of Little Texas preforming

Porter Howell, Little Texas lead singer and guitar player on a Blueberry dreadnought cutawayLittle Texas was conceived in Nashville, Tennessee, by a handful of guys in their early twenties who were willing to do just about anything to bring their brand of rockin’ county to the forefront of the music industry. Before hitting the big time, the band crisscrossed America for three long years, playing every bar and honky tonk from Myrtle Beach, SC, to Los Angeles, CA, all the while writing songs that were destined to change the sound of modern country, and perfecting a stage show that has been critically acclaimed worldwide.

Little TexasTheir first radio release, “Some Guys Have All The Love,” became a top ten hit, as did their next single, “First Time For Everything. Subsequently, five more singles reached the top of the charts. The second album, Big Time, truly was the big time for Little Texas, as it spawned three number 1 singles with “What Might Have Been,” “God Blessed Texas” and “My Love,” capturing the very first CMT award, a Billboard award, a Radio & Records award and a Grammy nomination, and to date has sold over three million copies. The new LIVE album, THE VERY BEST OF LITTLE TEXAS - LIVE & LOUD, was released on May 15, 2007, and MISSING YEARS was released just 28 days later on June 12th, 2007. You can now check out the music and order the albums at CMT.com.

The band is currently on tour but took time out to graciously appear at NAMM for Blueberry Guitars.

Rick Monroe takes life experiences that we all share, the events that touch our hearts and creates music that speaks directly to the soul in each of us. Whether in an intimate setting accompanied only by his acoustic guitar, a good old honky-tonk, or on stage playing with his band to thousands at an outdoor festival halfway around the world, Rick strives to connect to his audiences. With a perfect blend of Alt Contemporary/Classic Country, a dash a Roots Rock, a big swig of Texas Swing and a ton of showmanship, he is always a huge crowd pleaser.
