Description
Blueberry Handmade Groove Guitar #2 from 2008 – from the private collection of Blueberry Founder Danny Fonfeder
Back in 2008, we came up with the idea of adding grooves to the top of our guitars by carefully hand carving against the grain of the wood using traditional Balinese steel chisels – our idea was to take out wood density from the top in order to enhance volume and projection without affecting the structural integrity of the standard dimension top.
This had never been done in the history of guitar building and the result was an electrifying change in how our guitars sounded.
From that time onward, the majority of Blueberry acoustic guitars have been made with groove patterns on the top (over 6,500 guitars and counting)
This guitar as been at many trade shows since it was built in 2008 including both Summer and Winter Namm and it has been played and admired by many accomplished musicians – it sounds truly spectacular.
Unfortunately, the top was damaged at one of the shows, we did our best to repair it but those repairs are visible as you can see in the photos.
It is covered by our Blueberry warranty and is part of our history, we are holding onto #1 but this is your chance to buy #2.
We will send a letter of authenticity with the guitar.
Blueberry Handmade Acoustic Guitars are made on the tropical island of Bali by our experienced team of traditional wood carvers and artisans who have been practicing their craft for generations.
